Bill Bratton spoke at press conference in New York on Friday. The man who was shot dead has been named in reports as 28-year-old Akai Gurley.

The pro-gun world is starting to hear more and more about members of the anti-gun crowd “SWATTING” gun owners, specifically open carriers.

Airsoft guns are replicas, which can fire plastic pellets, and are intended to be non-lethal.

Tito Velez, 16, said it was his idea, "We wanted something unique and different instead of using flowers like everyone else. We were like, 'let’s use something we like to do on the weekend as a prop.'"

Detectives said they have video evidence from a dashboard camera that Aaron Huntsman stole from John Scalesse, of Orange, who was killed in a crash on the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield on Sept. 22.
