Austin, TX – When a SWAT team initiated a no-knock raid in search of cannabis, they were met with gunfire, and while the resident surrendered as soon as he realized his home was being raided by police, the fact that he opened fire on the intruders and shot one of them in the leg has resulted in a 13-year prison sentence.

Once again, we’re reminded how the Left just hates us, and that they can’t be trusted on gun control. Enough with the lies that they just want common sense gun control. They either want to lay down the foundation to ban and confiscate guns, or they just want to kill you—or at least joke about it. In North Carolina, a Democrat running for sheriff joked about just that during a meeting with Moms Demand Action. The race is in Buncombe County.

YouTube will start banning videos that promote websites selling guns and accessories, as well as videos that provide instructions on how to assemble firearms, the company announced Wednesday.

State senators debated Tuesday whether schools should be allowed to be gun-free zones.

State Sen. Martha Hennessy. D-Hanover, put forth the 74-word amendment to a school safety bill to give school districts greater control of gun policy.

"My amendment would allow local school boards to decide, for their own schools, whether to allow firearms in the building or on school buses," Hennessey said.

The amendment is drawing fierce opposition, with some arguing that it's the first step toward greater restrictions of gun rights.

We’re all used to our bags being searched when we go through airport security, but a number of reports claim that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is also searching the electronic devices belonging to passengers on domestic flights within the U.S.

As a result, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has filed a lawsuit against the TSA, requesting records gathered by the fderal agency.

A Marjory Stoneman Douglas school resource officer has been suspended without pay after Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel said video shows him taking up a defensive position during the shooting but never entering the school.

Israel announced Thursday that the decision to suspend Deputy Scot Peterson was made after reviewing video from the shooting and taking statements from witnesses and Peterson himself, Israel said.

“He should have went in, addressed the killer, killed the killer,” Israel said.

For state leaders, protecting children in New Hampshire's schools is a top priority.

New Hampshire Homeland Security director Perry Plummer said New Hampshire has some of the safest schools in the country but every precaution needs to be taken so schools are ready for anything.

"I don't know of any state that's done more than we have post-Sandy Hook," Plummer said.

New Hampshire is investing $20 million to improve safety at over 300 schools.

He said he hopes that someday all schools will get the money needed to make upgrades.
