"Dollar a bullet" tax proposed in Baltimore

A mayoral candidate in Baltimore plans to solve all the crime problems and improve the "quality of life" in Baltimore by charging an extra tax, this one on bullets.

Mr. Rolley did not indicate that there is any research or even informed opinion whether this would have any effect on the "quality of life" but did say that the four billion dollars that the city has spent on police has not been a good investment. He also did not explain whether or not police would be required to pay the new tax.
