FPC WIN: Pennsylvania Handgun Carry Ban Blocked in FPC Second Amendment Lawsuit
PITTSBURGH (April 25, 2024) – Today, Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) announced a victory in Lara v. Evanchick following Federal District Court Judge William S. Stickman’s order enjoining the Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner from enforcing the Commonwealth’s laws that ban 18-to-20-year-old adults from carrying a firearm outside of the home for self-defense. Supreme Court Takes Up FPC, FPCAF Lawsuit Challenging ATF’s “Frame or Receiver” Rule
WASHINGTON (April 22, 2024) – Today, the United States Supreme Court granted review in Attorney General Merrick B. Garland v. Jennifer VanDerStok, a Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) and FPC Action Foundation (FPCAF) lawsuit challenging President Joe Biden’s “frame or receiver” rule implemented by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). As a result, the high court will decide the fate of the rule in its upcoming October 2024 term.

FPC Files Opposition to California’s Motion to Save Gun Rationing Ban During Appeal
SAN FRANCISCO (April 16, 2024) – In Firearms Policy Coalition’s (FPC) Nguyen v. Bonta lawsuit, a federal district judge recently struck down the “one-gun-per-month” law. Today, FPC announced that its lawyers have filed a brief opposing the State of California’s “emergency” motion to save the “one-gun-per-month” ban during the appeal. Unless a stay is issued by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the law cannot be enforced after April 27, 2024. The latest brief can be viewed at FPCLegal.org.
Oregon Gun Control Measure 114 Remains Blocked in FPC-Supported Appeal
SALEM, OR (April 15, 2024) – Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) announced today that the Oregon Court of Appeals ruled against the State in a Friday decision, maintaining the injunction against gun control Measure 114.
