In a couple of hours, my son starts his journey back from Okinawa.
After a 2 year hitch overseas, it will be good to have him stateside again.
Unfortunately, we don’t get to see him right away.
He’s heading straight to his next duty station – Cherry Point Marine Air Station, N.C.
T.R. know that our prayers are always with you son, especially as you start this journey.
Spoke with a ‘staffer’ (who wanted to remain unnamed on this blog) from Senator Davis’ office about S.B. 354 Campus Carry yesterday and wasn’t entirely impressed.
Campus Carry is a simple idea; let people who are 21 years or older* who are licensed to carry a concealed weapon, who have been vetted by the state, who have taken a training course, who have demonstrated their proficiency** carry their concealed handgun onto the premises of colleges and universities.
I am pleased to report that Senator Davis does support the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, including Campus Carry. Her staffer repeatedly emphasized that Senator Davis voted for S.B. 321 the Parking Lot bill.
I am disappointed to report that Senator Davis doesn’t support the idea without an amendment allowing colleges and universities to opt out.
The staffer I spoke to stated that Senator Davis wants to offer this amendment – not because the people in her district want it but because the administrators of the colleges and universities want it.
Think about that for a minute.
Senator Davis and some of the administration feels it is perfectly reasonable to let colleges and universities not recognize people’s basic rights. I wonder what other rights the university administrations don’t like — protection from unreasonable search and seizure, right to free speech, protection from discrimination, etc?
I urge Senator Davis to support Campus Carry without her proposed amendment.
I also ask any Texans, who have already done so, to contact their representatives and ask them their views on Campus Carry.
Let’s remind our elected officials that they represent the voters in their district; not the administrators of colleges and universities.

*18 or older if on active duty in the military — guess even law makers can recognize that action as a sign of maturity.
** The proficiency requirements are nearly identical to the requirements needed to qualify as a Texas law enforcement officer.
.. they’ve made too many friends, too many teachers would ask questions.
So that leaves a kidney or a spare limb.
LAWRENCE COUNTY, Pa. — A gun that was seized as evidence is being auctioned off by Lawrence County. The district attorney said the gun was seized in an armed robbery and the county has kept it locked up because of its value.
The 1928 Thompson Sub Machine Gun is worth thousands, according to district attorney Joshua Lamancusa.Lamancusa said because the county could use the extra money, they’ve decided to auction it off.”This is worth $20,000 to $50,000 and we want to put it out there to the general public to buy. It’s a way to pay for a car for the sheriff’s department that we need,” Lamancusa. To bid on the gun, call 724-656-1916.
Good on the Sheriff’s Department and the District Attorney; a piece of American history like that shouldn’t be destroyed.
Check out the video to see the pristine condition.
In the mean time, I’ll be looking through Craigslist, surely there is someone wanting to buy a kidney there.
of those 30 round magazines that the Anti-Rights Cultists tell us we’ll never need.
Authorities said a group of 20 to 25 youths boarded a MARTA train bound for Atlanta’s airport, and viciously attacked the passengers.
My safety shouldn’t have to depend on the mercy of vicious thugs.
One of the great things about going out to the range is the nice folks you meet out there.
Saturday was no exception.
Our Range “A” is used mostly by folks shooting pistol. While I was on one end punching holes at 15 yards, a club member had two guests shooting on the 7 yard lanes.
Nothing unusual about that. Until I started listening a little closer, Gayla – the club member- was doing a great job giving the guests an introduction to pistol shooting.
As they were leaving, I introduced myself and found out a little more about the guests.
(Hey, I’m membership secretary — I’m always looking to get folks to join.)
Meet Bonny
And Cheryl
Not only did they agree I could take their picture for this report, but eagerly agreed with Gayla’s idea of posing as if they were shooting.
(Edited to Add – the pictures were taken as we were wrapping up for the day, not of their actual shooting.)
See, the reason for the title is a couple of facts that I learned when talking to them. Facts that will make the Anti-Rights Cultists cringe.
Fact #1 – Both ladies paid money to come out and shoot.
Fact #2 – The money was for a fund raising effort.
Fact #3 – The fund raiser was being ran by one of the local Independent School Districts.
Fact #4 — Both ladies are teachers.
Yes, that’s right folks. In Texas, even our teachers learn to shoot. What is worse for the anti-rights cultists is the fact that both enjoyed it. One, I think Cheryl, really liked shooting that Colt Mustang and I believe that Bonny’s grin when she talked about shooting the Browning Hi-Power (w/Crimson Trace Laser) almost met in the back of her head.
This, among many reasons, is why we are and will win — shooting is fun.
Two years ago, I posted my BAG Day purchase — a Taurus Millennium Pro PT145 on April 16th. That was my first blog post over at Blogger.
(Okay, I actually wrote it on the 15th but didn’t click publish until the next day.)
On April 16th, I made another BAG Day purchase, my Mosin Nagant 91/30.
In between has been over 60,000 visits and 100,000 page views.
Even more important have been the 6,000+ comments and the friendships made.
What a long strange trip it’s been.
Thanks for being here for it.
“The Rich needs to pay their fair share of TAXES” the nanny state groups usually shout.
They seem to completely ignore a few facts.
The Internal Revenue Service tracks the tax returns with the 400 highest adjusted gross incomes each year. The average income on those returns in 2007, the latest year for IRS data, was nearly $345 million. Their average federal income tax rate was 17 percent, down from 26 percent in 1992.
First let’s point out that 400 people paid 345,000,000 dollars in taxes for 1 year.
Over the same period, the average federal income tax rate for all taxpayers declined to 9.3 percent from 9.9 percent.
My quick computation puts the “rich” at paying 82% more in taxes than the average.
There are so many breaks that 45 percent of U.S. households will pay no federal income tax for 2010, according to estimates by the Tax Policy Center, a Washington think tank.
They also ignore the fact that many people don’t pay income tax. Have you heard of them calling for that 45% to contribute their fair share?
I haven’t.
More than half of the nation’s tax revenue came from the top 10 percent of earners in 2007. More than 44 percent came from the top 5 percent. Still, the wealthy have access to much more lucrative tax breaks than people with lower incomes.
Obama wants the wealthy to pay so “the amount of taxes you pay isn’t determined by what kind of accountant you can afford.”
I think a more accurate statement of President Obama desires would be “He wants the wealthy to pay.” Period.
Those “lucrative tax breaks” are designed to benefit the country by providing charity and capital for companies to create jobs so those people paying nothing in income taxes can work.
President Obama, like many other “Tax them until they bleed liberals” isn’t willing to give up his income beyond what it takes to feed, shelter and clothes his kids.
And Vice President Biden — yeah, there is a real compassionate guy – less than $5,000 in charitable contributions.
Have to hand it to Senator Hatch — great quote
Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah, the top Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, said he has a solution for rich people who want to pay more in taxes: Write a check to the IRS. There’s nothing stopping you.
“There’s still time before the filing deadline for them to give Uncle Sam some more money,” Hatch said.
So, what do you think is a fair percentage of their money each person gets to keep?

Edited to Add — Jake at Curse Foiled Again also posted on this article….and did a better job at it.
Well, not sure what happened this morning but the connection wasn’t there.
It dropped in the middle of writing today’s post. Since the pictures are on the home computer, a follow up to Saturday’s Range Report will have to wait until tomorrow.
Hopefully the connection will stay in place today.
Thanks for your patience.
I’ll try to get a topical post up later.
As I alluded to Saturday, I picked up a new to me firearm.
Yep, I’m now the proud owner of a Mosin Nagant 91/30 .
I picked it up for a local gun store – Iron Mine Guns who will be the subject of another blog post later for a princely sum of $109. Normally $119 but he took pity on my wallet and cut me a break.
I have much to learn but I do know it was made in the Tula plant in 1943.
There are many marks that I have no idea what they mean, yet.
Picked up 3 boxes of ammunition for it but it will be a while before I shoot it. Getting the surface layers of cosmoline off took about an hour. I still have to completely disassemble it and scrub it down.
It was a day late but I think it Definitely Qualifies for Buy A Gun Day; don’t you?
Now if I can just find someone knowledgeable about Mosins to help me out.
Please join the discussion.
Been a while since I’ve posted a tune, here is another favorite from Spyro Gyra
Been a busy but great Saturday.
Let’s see I
Went to the library to return some books.
Picked up some club mail; big stack of dues payments and a couple of new applications.
Made a deposit from the mail pick up earlier this week.
Cashed in some coins for a few bucks — those are earmarked for the gun fund.
Went to the range and meet a few people.
Emptied the gun fund.
Being membership secretary is one of the near full time jobs at the club but I definitely enjoy doing it. I don’t always enjoy posting the payments but that is a small price to pay.
Out of today’s activities, I probably have 4 or 5 blog posts.
I meet a guy named Israel that has been buying guns for a while but not shooting very long. He drank the Hollywood Kool-aid and the first and only handgun he has bought is a Desert Eagle in .50 caliber. Could feel the concussion of that thing going off two lanes over.
Israel was also sighting in a shotgun (think it was a Mossberg 590, forgot to ask) and a High-Point .45 ACP carbine. He was nice enough to let me put a few rounds down range — I think I need to get one. That was a fun gun to shoot.
Also met two ladies, both new shooters, that I will talk about in a blog post. It is a topic worthy of a stand alone post.
I talked to a 20 something year old about his pending application. He was out with another 20 something year old member of the club shooting on the 100- and 200-yard ranges. Both young men were polite, respectful and exhibited good firearm safety.
I also shot some— I remembered that I can shoot at the club not just attend meetings. I’ll try to get up a range report tomorrow.
And it was a gorgeous day today for those not lucky enough to be in North Texas.
About 75 degrees and a slight breeze.
Oh and I also emptied the gun fund.
Here is a hint.
¡Quitése mi césped!

( I think this one is actually closer )
Now, I have to do some research, make some phone calls letting people know about their applications, write up a blog post or two, post more payments to member’s accounts, clean up the kitchen, and probably cook something for dinner.
The judicial system in England uses Anti-Social Behavior Orders (ASBO) in an attempt to get criminals to stop criminal activities.
“Children” are often issues these ASBOs.
It read: ‘The complaints are regarding groups of young people congregating and causing a general nuisance. Your child has been identified as being part of this group.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the nature of the complaints and the best way to resolve the issues.
‘We are also looking at providing diversionary activities in your local area and would like to seek both your support and your child’s attendance.’
There is only one problem — but it is a doozy.
A woman about to give birth to her first child was left bewildered after Lincolnshire police sent a letter threatening her unborn baby with an ASBO.
Charlotte Childs, who is 36 weeks pregnant, and her husband Damien were invited to attend a meeting with local police to discuss their son’s bad behaviour…
Mrs Childs said she and her husband could hardly stop laughing as they read through the letter.
‘I would love to know how a 36-week-old foetus has managed to go to the park and cause trouble without me noticing,’ she said.
‘I find the whole thing hilarious, especially as I‘m this close to having my first child. We called straight away to ask about it – my husband thought it was really funny on the phone but they were a bit off with us.
Hey Britain, just remember “Minority Report” is fiction not reality.
Two local stories really highlight a simple fact – surveillance camera do not work to deter crime.
First a bold thiefThe victim had parked in the garage and gone to visit a relative in the jail. Personal belongings are not allowed inside the building so she left everything in her car. When she got back an hour later her purse was gone.
Surveillance videos captured a woman with distinctive black and silver hair using credit cards frome the stolen purse at a Walmart in Balch Springs. She made two separate purchases totaling $1,100.
This story was from February 28th. Anyone seen a report about the criminal being caught? I haven’t.
Did anyone notice the criminal trying to hide her identity from the cameras?
As a side note, wonder if law enforcement is considered an accessory to this crime? It is their policies that required the victim to leave her purse in the car at the jail.
–Just a reminder, while most Concealed Handgun License holders know relatively few criminals — it might be wiser to leave your firearm at home if you visit the Jail. They’ve proven the parking garages aren’t safe.
Next up a disturbing assault caught on video.
As I said, this is a failure of surveillance cameras as crime prevention.
But there are some important things we can learn by reviewing what happened. These are my thoughts, observations and recommendations; they are worth exactly what you paid for them.
First — Keep your head on a swivel, not buried in your car.We call it ‘situational awareness’ but it is simply awareness really.
In a nearly empty parking lot, look around often. The victim seemed unaware of the approach of two people until it was too late.
One of the attackers even paused at the back of a vehicle then continued to approach. The attacked didn’t even try to give a pretext for the stop; that should have been a clue.
Use your ears, even in sneakers, walking on pavement usually makes noise. If you hear something, check it out.
Also know when you are most susceptible to crime and be even more vigilant.
Second — Stop people from making a close approach.Be rude, be really rude and obnoxious if you have to, but don’t let people get close to you.
Make eye contact as people approach, criminals don’t want good witnesses as victims.
Stand up straight, shoulders back – a posture of confidence.
Use voice commands — “That’s far enough”, “Don’t come any closer”, “Stay away” “Back off”. You can always apologize later if you are wrong.
Jump in your car and lock the doors as a last resort.
Three — be assertive in defense of your person or property. It may be smart to wait for better odds (the female thug leaving evened things out slightly) but from what I can see the victim tried to protect her purse instead of going after the male thug. Even after he stopped dragging her, she was fighting for the property instead of striking out at the thug.
Do you think he would be more or less likely to continue if she had fought him instead of fighting for control of the purse?
Fighting back does work and reduces your chances of being hurt. Counter intuitive but verifiable.
Four — forget fighting fair or fist fighting regardless of what the Coalition to Empower Criminals says — Carry a weapon.Be it mace, pepper spray, or a handgun; carry something that can stop people – preferably from a distance (see 2nd step).
Let me ask the Anti-Rights Cultists out there – what less than lethal weapon allows a 25 year old woman to defend herself against multiple attackers?
Make the decision before you start carrying a weapon that you can and will use it if necessary. Don’t wait until the attackers are in position and making demands to decide if you will use your weapon of choice.
Practice beforehand
Train or get training on it’s use.
Again, let me ask the Anti-Rights Cultists out there — what less than lethal weapon allows a person to repeatedly and affordable practice enough to gain proficiency?
What hand to hand combat technique would a person working three jobs have time to master?
The victim in this case didn’t give up. Good for her, I mean that sincerely. She didn’t quit, she didn’t meekly hand over her hard earned money; notice in the article that she works 3 jobs
Even if you are out of position or knocked down, don’t think you are out of the fight. Even after the attack had started, I counted 3 or 4 opportunities for her to have pulled a weapon had she been armed.
She did many things right, don’t misunderstand me, there is just things we can learn in an after action review.
She parked in a well lit area. She kept distance between her car and the next.
Let’s keep busting the chops of the Anti-Rights Cultists with another question — If people shouldn’t use violence to protect their property; what additional consequences do you propose for thugs willing to use violence to steal it?
And one last related question
If people shouldn’t use violence to protect their property; how many times have you reimbursed victims for what they have lost? Have you put your money where your mouth is?
Please join the discussion.
My sympathies to the friends and family of the Johnson family for their loss.
They lost a 12 year old boy yesterday after a ‘gun death‘ — being ran over by a car.
I bring that up because it is important to keep hammering home at a simple fact. Anti-rights cultists proposals for reducing ‘gun violence’ will do nothing to address this tragedy.
Boy Run Over amid Teen Fistfight: MyFoxDFW.com
Now teens fighting has been around as long as there have been teens. I’m not denying that, heck I was in a few myself back when I lived in the Town of Bedrock .
There are some differences in the way things used to be.
1. Younger kids used to be ran off from the fights.Usually because they would tattle to the parents (more on that later) but also because the older kids didn’t want the younger ones emulating what they see.
Now in that video, you see and hear of kids as young as six — 6!! — watching that.
Also, the parents used to teach their kids not to stick around fights because bad things could happen. Guess those parents knew what they were talking about.
2. The fight happened in front of the apartments/houses in the neighborhood. We used to have to have fights in the fields or woods near the houses — so the cops wouldn’t show up and break it up.
Guess these kids, and way too many of today’s youths, don’t fear being seen or arrested by the police. Kind of makes you wonder what the parents are teaching them.
Which brings us to point #3
3. Did you notice the one statement by the neighbor? “There were moms out there egging it on”.Egging it on instead of breaking it up, whaling the daylights out of every kid around like our parents used to do. I am not sure I saw any parents cheering it on but you have to ask why the parents did nothing.
However, the footage also shows something else that was not originally noticed by investigators: A young man apparently holding a handgun and pointing it at bystanders.
In fact, the clip shows the unidentified youngster pointing the object at a semi-circle of bystanders watching from a distance, perhaps warning them not to get involved.
Public reaction to the footage had included shock at bystander’s lack of involvement. In fact, only one woman can be seen trying to stop the fight.
A tipster told FOX 4 News about the possible gun and we have notified Desoto police.
That is one possible reason. Another is the person with the gun didn’t threaten the parents but kept other kids from interfering.
Which is a huge difference from when I was a kid.
And lastly
#5 I am not going to call this an ‘accident’.It was avoidable. It was deliberate. Hemphill deliberately drove off even after several other teens were jumping on the car, even though many kids were in the street.
That isn’t accidental — that is purposeful.
He didn’t drive off because people were beating him, he drove off because he was losing the fight. There is a difference and a child is dead because of his actions.
So, I ask the folks who focus on gun control to address some issues. What regulation or law proposed by you/your group would address this type of violence?
What regulation or law proposed by you/your group would address the fact that parents are not stopping violence but egging it on?
What regulation or law proposed by you/your group would address the values, principles or beliefs of ‘kids’ willing to use a firearm to keep a fight going on?
There is a culture of violence in our society but it doesn’t have anything to do with gun ownership. We need to keep hammering home that point over and over again. Make the anti-rights cultists address it and admit that their failed ideas won’t change that culture of predatory violence.

T.R. turns 21 today.
And T.R. if you are reading this; I do have a birthday present planned for you, it just may have to be a combination birthday and Christmas present.
I am always amazed at the strength of desire to butt into other people’s lives. Oh it is always for a “good cause” but the “creeping nanny state virus” knows no boundaries.
ARLINGTON — City leaders want drivers to keep their eyes on the road, not on their cellphones.
On Tuesday, the City Council asked city staff to begin drafting an ordinance for consideration that would prohibit drivers in Arlington from using cellphones unless the devices are hands-free or voice-activated.
The ordinance, if adopted by the council, would ban drivers from sending text messages or e-mails, playing online games or browsing the Internet or making cellphone calls the traditional way except in an emergency.
Never mind the research that shows ‘hands free’ devices don’t make a difference; nope Big Brother at every level must be seen doing something.
Reading the first part of the article, I thought Arlington had a huge problem.
I mean it has to be major if they are going to add another ordinance on top of the state laws, local laws and simple common sense, right?
In Arlington, 865 of the 5,624 traffic wrecks reported between November 2009 and November 2010 were caused by distracted drivers, she said. Of those, 5 percent were linked to cellphones.
In March of 2008, Arlington had 369,150 residents. 64.7% of which were older than 19 — giving roughly 238,840 people of driving age. This doesn’t count people who commute into Arlington, people who simply drive through, etc.
5% of 865 is 43.
43 people out of 238,840 — 0.02%
The city council is going trying to enact an ordinance because of the actions of approximately 1 out of every 5,000 people!!!!
At least not every Council member has been infected with the virus though
District 1 Councilman Mel LeBlanc said he is not comfortable with creating ordinances to tackle something that should be handled by common sense.
“It’s up to us as individuals to take responsibility for our actions. Anybody who uses a car and uses a cellphone knows it’s a public safety hazard,” LeBlanc said. “I don’t think we should be over-regulating people.”
Time to program some new numbers into my phone and make some calls. Mr. Cluck and Mr. Shepherd; expect to hear from me soon.
Them being the members of the California Federation of Teachers (CFT)
“Therefore, be it resolved, that the California Federation of Teachers reaffirm its support and demand that the courts consider the evidence of innocence of Mumia Abu-Jamal,” the Committee Report reads.
“Mumia Abu-Jamal has for decades as a journalist fought courageously against racism and police brutality and for the human rights of all people and has taken strong stands in support of working people involved in labor struggles and in support of well-funded, quality, public education,” the resolution reads. That’s right, the CFT believes Mumia Abu-Jamal has been railroaded, that his trial was ‘unfair’.
Daniel Flynn, author of “Cop killer: How Mumia Abu-Jamal conned millions into believing he was framed” told The Daily Caller that Abu-Jamal was the poster-child for ending the death penalty…20 – 30 years ago.
“Somebody should tell the California Teachers Federation that this is over, he is in jail, he is going to stay there,” Flynn said. “You have numerous eyewitnesses saying Mumia did it. You had ballistic evidence – Mumia’s gun at the scene was consistent with the bullet used to kill Faulkner. Mumia admitted after the fact that he did it.”
While I agree that the CFT has the right to support any cause, however ridiculous, they want to, consider the fact that they are willing to ignore the evidence, ignore Abu-Jamal’s confession. These are the people who should be teaching kids to think logically and critically and the teachers seem unable to use those abilities.
“The delegates decided it was time to reiterate that they supported him due to the irregularities that they felt had taken place during his case,” said Glass. “They see this as a civil liberties issue, it is quite common for the CFT to take positions on broad social matters like this.”
Broad social issues? Just exactly what is it about this case that is a broad social issue Mr. Glass?
The issue of the man being a murderer or that your organization is supporting a convicted murderer?
Or is the broad social issue the fact that too many of our teachers are unable to teach the basic knowledge and abilities kids should have? That too many teachers can’t teach without trying to indoctrinate kids with their anti-america, pro-environment over people, anti-business, anti-rights bias?
As I said, exhibit A in the case for firing all of them and starting over again.

I’m still not up to 100% so I’ll just put up a quick “Question to the Antis” post.
A gunman has shot dead at least 12 children at a school in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro before killing himself, police say.
At least 12 others were wounded when the man entered the school with two revolvers and began shooting.
Brazil has very strict gun control laws, right?
The murderer didn’t use ‘high capacity magazines, right?
So, here is the question – Doesn’t the mass murder in Brazil show the utter futility and folly of your proposed ideas ?
Was out of work sick on Friday and not feeling great on today but…
Today was Youth Day at the Club.
We had about 165 kids out to the club shooting trap, skeet, archery, .22 caliber silhouette, rim fire bench rest, black powder muzzle loaders and black powder cartridge.
Combine previous asthma issues with wind fueled allergy issues, long day and relatively hot day equals one beat up blogger.

Red sunrise due to the dust in the air —
Alternate title “And now for something completely different”
This is unusual for me, hence the alternate title, because I agree with Bob Ray Sanders.
Don’t worry, I haven’t lost my mind and it will probably be a long time before I agree with him again.
Background information — (emphasis mine)
It was a radio news flash on March 1 that first informed me Texas Woman’s University in Denton was on lockdown because of a reported threat from a student.
That student, 30-year-old Christopher Gillette, had made some statements during his history class that caused someone to alert campus security officers who, in turn, notified the Denton police.
Gillette was considered a possible terrorist as police sought his whereabouts, eventually learning — reportedly after calling his phone number — that he had gone where he said he was headed: the Veterans Administration Hospital in Dallas.
An Army veteran, Gillette was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division and was part of a peacekeeping mission in Kosovo. He had suffered back and knee injuries in training exercises, said his attorney, David Sloane of Fort Worth.
The VA officials held Gillette that Tuesday morning until police got there and arrested him. He was charged with making a terroristic threat, and last week a Denton County grand jury indicted him on two counts. His bail, originally set at $250,000, was raised to $500,000.
In a time when anti-American and anti-government sentiment can manifest itself in senseless violence, it is understandable that some may have been concerned by Gillette’s behavior on that day.
I’ll get back to the portion in red later.
But based on the actions of the campus security, Denton Police and grand jury, it sounds like this guy was a step away from unleashing Armageddon on campus doesn’t it?
So what exactly did Mr. Gillette say that was so terrifying?
On the day he was arrested, according to one source, Gillette had politely interrupted his professor by saying, “Dr. Travis, I don’t want to disturb your class, but I’m so angry I can’t really explain it in words.”
When the professor asked whether it was related to class, Gillette explained that he was a veteran needing help and mentioned several times that he was “in a lot of pain” and needed medical attention.
Mentioning his high grade-point average, the student said he was now failing and wanted the professor to talk to the president or vice president (presumably of the university).
No doubt the statement that caused the most alarm — the one mentioned in the affidavit for search and arrest warrant — was when Gillette said:
“I need medical attention. I would never do anything to any of the girls at the college, I want y’all to understand that. But I’m mad, understand that. I’m fighting hopping-out-of-the-back-of-a-truck-with-an-AK-47 mad.“
The exchange was very calm on the part of both men and ended with Gillette again saying he was in pain and probably needed to go to the hospital. He asked the professor once more whether he would contact the vice president, and the professor said he would.
That’s right boys and girls — the terrifying statement made was simply using a firearm in the description of how angry he was.
No threat of violence, no indication of imminent violence – simply a ex-soldier describing his emotion in terms that he could relate to.
This is what the Anti-Rights Cultists have brought upon our society. A world where colorful phrasing to describe your emotions will get you arrested, a campus locked down — how many students lives disrupted? – a man’s honor smeared.
All because the anti-rights cultists have so conditioned people to be fearful of firearms that they don’t even consider anything else
Sloane said it was more than an hour later that the incident was reported and the school was locked down.
Reading that I have to wonder if there isn’t a hidden agenda at work here?
Some one was so terrified they reported him but it took them an hour to do so?
This isn’t new, it isn’t isolated but it is ridiculous.
And now to the part where I agree with Bob Ray Sanders.
Very clearly what happened in that classroom was a cry for help from a desperate man who had been trying to navigate the VA system, a challenge that can be frustrating at best.
This is a story that is not unique. Too many veterans returning from service are not finding the help they need.
Sadly, some only get attention when they do something disturbing that causes widespread alarm.
Gillette obviously needs help. Instead of punishing him, let’s get him the assistance he deserves.
Well said Mr. Sanders. Very well said.
